These works are historically relevant pictures that are collected by both art and history enthusiasts. Some of these works have become iconic of World War II, such as 'We Can Do It!' by J. Howard Miller and 'I Want You'. Vintage recruiting posters are unique glimpses into the lives and forces that influenced people during this turbulent time.

Many of these patriotic prints are vintage illustrations and aren't meant for recruitment at all. These works were generally executed later or were meant to garner sympathy without recruitment. Patriotic prints like 'Red Cross Nurse' were just as important as vintage recruiting posters designed specifically for enlistment. These works are vaguely pop art images, but don't bear the blatant influence that traditional patriotic prints have.

Pop art images during this time were unique forms of art for their viewers. These vintage illustrations ignited the senses and loyalties of those who saw them and are still encouraging and uplifting peoples' spirits today. Thanks to these historically relevant pictures people have a unique way of connecting and remembering their past.

If you were a young adult during World War II you may remember seeing some of these recruiting posters in your town or high school. From Russia to America to Great Britain, there were recruiting posters everywhere to help fight the good fight. Many answered that call and today you can own a piece of that historical time in world history.
