Miles Davis Art

Miles Davis was one of the most famous jazz trumpet players to ever grace the music stage. Photographers and artists over the years have produced some great framed Miles Davis artwork. He was a man of music and class and they have been able to capture that and immortalize him through art.

Three of his best albums have covers that have been transformed into framed Miles Davis posters that are sought after by many art lovers as well as Miles Davis fans. The three albums being referred to are “Blue Moods”, “Conception”, and “Miles Davis All Stars – Walkin”. These also have some great decorating possibilities for games rooms, music rooms, or man caves.

The billboard poster of the Miles Davis Quintet playing at the Blackhawk from 1957 has also turned into a popular piece of framed Miles Davis art. This poster is brightly colored and it can be a great place for a tavern that focuses on music. Prestige and Profiles have done some remarkable work with photography and been able to capture Miles Davis at his best playing his trumpet.

Thomas LaDuke did a great piece of Miles Davis titled, “Bluenote” that is another popular piece among Miles Davis fans. During his time black and white photos were popular and there are several of them floating around in the art world which include him. In these photos you will also see such jazz greats as Coleman Hawkins, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Duke Jordan, and Tommy Potter.
