Laure Girardin Vissian (Born 1966) was born in the French countryside. This is where she grew up. She was born into a family of artists and this made it quite natural for her to become an artist. She has loved art for as long as she can remember and she knew that her career would be in the arts industry. She always wanted to work in design and she joined the School of Applied Arts Duperré in Paris. After studying here, she worked as a freelancer stylist for kidswear and also as textile designer and illustrator. Much of her work is influenced by her childhood and by the places she has visited and the people she has interacted with. She was particularly working on children’s fashion, which included working for the Du Pareil Au Même label.
Just a couple of years ago, Laure has specialized in illustration and is currently working on projects that are linked to photography. She takes her inspiration from the world in general, but particularly in architecture, nature, travel, design, and of course her 3 children. Her pieces of art are exhibited at the Atelier Beau Travail. Her drawings are used for decoration and fashion and she likes to discover different art forms that explore design and color. She has exhibited in numerous solo shows and group shows in several places, and she has been featured in many publications. Laure wants her viewers to enjoy her art as much as she enjoys the process of producing them.
